End Poverty (NGO) distributed over 1800 fruit saplings to more than 50 farmers in Nibbahedi village on 29th August 2019 which included saplings of guava, lemon, mausami , keenu , pomegranate, kathal under its Plant a Tree life project. EP plan to distribute at least 10,000 horticulture saplings during the current year.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Rachna Singh, General Secretary from End Poverty told the farmers that End Poverty has planted more than 38320 fruit trees till now in Tijara block of Alwar district of Rajasthan in last ten years and many of them have already reached fruiting stage which has further inspired farmers to adopt horticulture farming.
Chief Guest Ms. Tabassum Ahmed, Haute Monde Finalist, Mrs. India Worldwide 2019’ distributed plants to farmers and appreciated the efforts made by End Poverty in this regard.
End Poverty staff, Sarpanch of Nimbahedi, Guwalda and Hamirraka, farmers all were present on the occasion.
Gulzar Khan, an agriculture specialist, shared various plantation techniques as well as tips to care for plants.
